Poplar Lick Trail

Description: This 5 mile (one-way) trail follows a lovely native trout stream that flows into Savage River. There are numerous stream crossings. The area is subject to flooding. There is camping along the trail with permit, but the trail is closed during winter. This trail connects to New Germany State Park. hiking and biking trails approximately .5 miles from the New Germany State Park trail head.

Use: Hiking, Biking

Difficulty: Moderate, Some Steep Sections

Directions: From Route 495 at Glendale Road, go north 1.5 miles. Take a right on New Germany Road. Go 6.2 miles to parking area on the right side.
