Description: 5 mile (one-way) trail connecting Swallow Falls and Herrington Manor State Parks through Garrett State Forest. Much of this trail is on old logging roads and a historic railroad bed. The trail is fairly level, but some long hills test your endurance.
Use: Hiking XC Skiing, Mountain Biking, Horseback Riding, Snowmobiling (Permit Required) Difficulty: Easy – Moderate Directions: Northern trailhead is at Swallow Falls State Park. Southern trailhead and parking can be accessed along Herrington Manor Road, in the dip approximately .5 miles north of Herrington Manor State Park entrance.
