Description: This 1/10 mile trail is located is in the Youghiogheny Wild River Natural Environmental Area, where Hoyes Run Road crosses Hoyes Run stream. It is a short, narrow, often wet trail that is used by fisherman and river boaters to access the river. The boating from here to the white water boat put in at Sang Run is 2.9 miles, runnable during scheduled man-made white water releases and natural precipitation events.
Note: You should be aware that while there are no major rapids on this section, the river will be moving fast so an appropriate pfd is necessary and you should be prepared to self-rescue. Do not underestimate any section of the river and look for updated release information here.
