Description: This 5 mile (one-way) trail follows a lovely native trout stream that flows into Savage River. The easiest way to hike the entire trail is to park a car at the bottom and then shuttle back to start at the top. There are numerous stream crossings and in the Spring is subject to flooding. Storm blow downs impede the trail in places, but you can walk around them. There is camping along the trail with a permit, but the trail is closed during winter. This trail connects to New Germany State Park hiking and biking trails approximately .5 miles from the New Germany State Park trail head.
Use: Hiking, Biking Difficulty: Moderate, Some Steep Sections Directions: From Route 495 at Glendale Road, go north 1.5 miles. Take a right on New Germany Road.
