Description: 0.7 mile, two bridge loop located on Savage River Road down river from the reservoir. Built for the 1989 Kayak World Championship, this loop is a great place to stop while exploring Savage River Road. It can be slick on the bridges and on river right (the side on your right while facing down river), during the winter. Please observe all posted fishing regulations and park so others can access the trail.
Update 5/25/23- In partnership with the MD DNR and RK&K Engineering from Keyser, WV, we were able to complete extensive vegetation removal along the trail. Parking spaces were also cleared and fishing paths opened up.

Directions: Upper parking is located 0.35 miles below the Big Savage trailhead campground. Lower parking is 0.75 miles below the campground.
